Show Notes for Nov 29, 2004

You can find out more poetry at the site http://www.memoware.com/?screen=main for your palm handheld. Some of the formats that it uses are .prc, .lit (Microsoft reader). Find poetry such as classics from Emily Dickinson, Cole James, and Ogden Nash (he wrote, “The Boy Who Laughed at Santa Claus”). You can also find other books of different Genres, Science Fiction, Philosophy, Short Story, Romance, and Shakespeare.

You're a poet or genre writer and want to offer your products in other formats. Well this product will help you to make ebooks for your palm handheld or windows device running Microsoft Reader. MobiPocket 3.0 can be found at http://www.mobipocket.com/en/DownloadSoft/DownLoadPublisherStep1.asp It was a bit difficult to start using this product but the help is very helpful and after you start using it for awhile you get the “hang of it.” It is free for your personal use, which will give you time to learn the program to see if you want to purchase the paid version. If you want to sell the ebooks that you make, you will have to get the paid version.

Want to learn to create a blog, go to http://www.writerswrite.net/blogsrch.cfm?search=article for a good article on creating a blog. They also have some other blogging articles. For poets and writers, blogging is a good way to build your brand and bring traffic to your website. There are even ways for us poets and writers to make money off of our works, but I will say more of that in a future podcast.

Writers Write http://www.writerswrite.com/ have articles on newsletter publishing, song writing, journalism, poetry and other topics of interest with poets and writers.

In a future show, I will be posting an article on how to do a podcast inexpensively, to increase your readership.
