A New Community is the heart of capitalism

I wrote this post in response to a You Tube video.  The titles of the video is “Dan Watkins on the Welfare State.” it is in the Ayn Rand Institute Channel at Ayn Rand Institute posted on August 13, 2014.

Don, have you ever been on welfare?  It's no easy money.  A person on welfare gives up their hopes and dreams as well. But they do this so their family can be fed and taken care of.  The young does need to care for the old.  But our whole society is not run the way its supposed to be.  We, in society, don't know the true meaning of community.  The heart of true capitalism is within true community.  Everyone gives to the community so that the community can give to them.  We all came into time to share the gift we each have.  That is what work is, sharing our gift for the benefit of others.  When our hearts are right, sharing can come.  But the problem of the past was with this thought was that the government tried to manifest it by force.  Good done by force is evil. True community has to manifest out of the hearts of humanity by their choice.  it has always been this way and will always be this way.  We do need to do something about this debt that the government did because we the people let them do it.  If we don't do something, everyone's choice will be limited until the problem is fixed. We need to have faith, heart, and courage to make the changes that we need to make.
